Guitar Born in Baltimore, MD

Believe it or not... that's his real name. Tom began playing guitar at age 15 and has been self-taught with the exception of high school music theory classes. He has played professionally for over 30 years, having worked with many touring bands playing a variety of musical styles, as well as having done studio recording for albums, commercial jingles, television and movie scores. He has played on stage alongside Robby Krieger of the Doors and has recorded guitar on tv specials for Glen Campbell and Debbie Boone.

What equipment/instruments do you use?
"For 'The Music of Led Zeppelin' show I play a Zion Radicaster Custom loaded with Seymour Duncan pickups through a POD XT Live as well as a Fender Stratocaster through the POD XT.  I also use a Martin 00016C-GTE for the acoustic guitar work"

Who are some of your musical influences:
"I have a lot of influences from a lot of different styles, from older to newer: Mick Box, Alvin Lee, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Johnny Winter, Steve Howe, Chet Atkins, Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Albert Lee, Jerry Reed, Al DiMeola, Walter Becker, Steve Morse, Phil Keaggy, Dan Huff, Larry Carlton, Allan Holdsworth, Brent Mason, John Scofield, Tommy Emmanuel, John Mayer (I'm sure I've missed a few)."

Tell us about "The Music of Led Zeppelin" show and how it impacts you:
"As an aspiring young rock guitarist, I was a big fan of Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page was one of my first major influences, and it's a real blast to be playing his stuff with a symphony (never thought I'd be doing that). Plus, it's so good to be playing with great musicians like our group and a singer like Randy."

What's on your IPod?:
"I don't have an iPod, but I do have CDs. I listen to a wide variety of music, jazz/rock, flamenco, John Mayer, Brent Mason, John Scofield, Steely Dan, Tommy Emmanuel ."
